After the loss of my beloved “Bub” (kitty cat I had for 12 years) I was heartbroken and lonely. Bub kept me company and would meet me at the door after a long hard day at work. We spent hours snuggling in the rocking chair keeping each other warm. My daughter MaLeia suggested I look into getting a dog. While my daughter was growing up our household always had kitty cats and never a dog; the biggest reason we were “cat people” was because I worked full time and we both attended school and there was limited time to take care of a pet. A spirited, playful friend, packed full of energy and ready to bound off for a game of follow the leader, tag, or any other excitement to be found lurking around a corner. Yet, always eager for a serene stroll to the mail box, morning coffee or an afternoon story on the porch, Winston Clementine or rather Winnie has grown to be a delightful lady who I hope will never quite leave her playful puppy days behind.
